Our Mission
By God’s grace, we are committed to encourage and resource our growing family of churches to reflect Jesus Christ.
We recognize that it is by God’s grace alone that He has called us into His family and by which He will work, both in and through us.
We are part of our larger family, the Evangelical Free Church of Canada, and are one of five districts across Canada. Each has it’s own region and flavour, but is joined together by a common mission, vision, ethos, and bond in Christ throughout the EFCC family.
The operational words for our District are to encourage and resource. Our ministry is not to be “over” the local church but to be alongside in service.
About LOWER PACIFIC DISTRICT OF THE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF CAN
The Lower Pacific District was founded in 1983. At present we consist of 27 churches and number of church plants located in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and the islands off its eastern shore.
Though our District is compact geographically, we are diverse in ethnicity and size. Our churches range in size from less than 50 to more than 600 in attendance on a given Sunday morning in rural, suburban and urban settings. Our churches also reflect the multicultural diversity of our region, with nine different languages being spoken on Sundays
