 It started as a germ of an idea envisioned by a teacher who volunteered at an orphanage in Antananarivo, Madagascar, in 2007, and witnessed the need.  It seeded when she passionately explained this need to a handful of inspired folks back in her home town of Maxville, Ontario, who then responded with positive, energetic volunteer support.

The Madagascar School Project continues to grow, nurtured, not just by those who give, but also by volunteers who travel to Madagascar; by the children who happily clean their classrooms, their parents who plant gardens and trees, and to the professionals who offer their time and skill in areas of finance, permaculture gardens, health and environment.

This is the epitome of one community helping another in need.  It's an exciting, inspiring project! We need your help to reach sustainability.  We welcome your involvement!
