Main Street Project is a community health agency in Winnipeg, Manitoba that provides community outreach, emergency shelter, food bank services, residential housing and withdrawal management services.

Each of the services MSP provides has been significantly impacted by COVID-19.

For example, Main Street Project is securing additional space to extend our emergency shelter services so that we may follow social distancing protocols put forward by our provincial and federal governments, and the World Health Organization while still providing quality care and support to our city's most vulnerable people.

Main Street Project's Food Bank continues to operate during the pandemic, though we have modified the provision of service to be based on a hamper model. We expect to see an increased demand in food bank usage over the coming weeks as individuals are laid off from their jobs due to the pandemic and we are preparing to meet the needs of the community.

With the increased and modified provision of services, Main Street Project is requesting donations to help us continue providing care and support to Winnipeg's most vulnerable people.
