Maison des métiers d'art de Québec (MMAQ) is devoted to creation and research in ceramics, textile construction, and sculpture. Its actions are rooted in the will to decompartmentalise fine crafts, in an interdisciplinary, transversal approach that makes them a bridge between the mind and the hand, a cornerstone of its cultural identity. A high-quality, three-year concentrated program specializing in each of the disciplines is taught in MMAQ in collaboration with Cégep Limoilou. MMAQ also offers conferences, artists residency program, workshop for beginners and professionals, exhibitions, support to the graduated students and is involved in varied partnerships projects.
