Manitoba Animal Alliance

about

<top>

Here at Manitoba Animal Alliance, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making Manitoba a better place for people and their pets.

Rescuing over 2,000 pets a year by collaborating with adoption agencies throughout Canada.

We provide Northern and Remote veterinarian services, multiple yearly Spay Neuter Clinics, and lifesaving vaccinations to Dogs and Cats. We train local volunteers how to vaccinate and leave vaccines behind so communities can independently run their vaccine programs.

MAA provides emergency support and service to evacuated Fire Zones in Northern and Remote areas. Homeless pets depend on people to provide food and water. That's where our organization can step into the Fire Zones and help save animals and provide onsite support with food and water. We utilize emergency aircrafts to transport these necessary and lifesaving resources to abandoned animals and can also remove weak and sick pets and provide temporary homes for owned pets in the city of Winnipeg. We also can provide thousands of pounds of food and supplies, vetting and supplies for pets of families that have been displaced.

Working together with Indigenous communities, we’re building on a foundation of compassion and inclusion to help both pets and people. We’re making sure that everyone has the same access to care for their pets and that every adoptable pet (stray or rehoming) has access to the comfort of a foster home. We’re committed to creating healthy communities which is why we use a One Health approach when building animal care strategies. This one health commitment means taking a unifying approach that balances the health of people, animals and their shared environment.

Connecting remote and northern communities to veterinary services by recognizing the connection between our environment, and health of both people and pets.

We believe in using the 3 C's - Collaboration, Coordination & Communication to create positive change in the communities we work with.
