About the Manitoba Children's Museum

Since 1986, the Children's Museum has offered a level playing field for children of every socio-economic background – a safe, creative oasis that can help develop the character of a child that in turn will lead to the strengthening of our community. A warm & welcoming 35,000 sq. ft. educational environment that nurtures the power of imagination & spirit of self-discovery, we believe in the potential of all children & values diversity, inclusion, & positive social change.

It costs nearly $6,000 a day to run the Children's Museum. Donations are directed towards our 72+ School Programs, Day Camps, After-School Clubs, special events, & temporary exhibitions, as well as our Access Programs, which bring under-supported children & their caregivers to the museum for free. Financial gifts are also used to keep our building & 12 permanent hands-on galleries in working order. We meet our educational mission 359 days a year & annually average 3,628 members, 183 volunteers, 568 birthday parties, 10,000+ rental guests, & 151,000 visitors.  We will not act contrary to the Canadian Human Rights Act & the Manitoba Human Rights Code. An investment in the Children's Museum is an enduring investment in the children of our community.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! The Children’s Museum gratefully acknowledges all our donors in our materials (with the exception of those who request anonymity).
