Even today, still forty percent of the population in Papua New Guinea never went to school; they can neither read nor write. The parish priest of the main mission in the area, Bulolo, has promised the people of the remote Watut area to help them get a new Primary School. The region of Watut is isolated in the forest and there is no school at all in the area. Parents had already built a classroom using only material from the bush. They really want to have a school for the education of their children.
We appeal to your generosity, dear benefactors, to help them achieve their hopes an dreams. Lent is an ideal time for it. The coming generation of kids will take advantage of a good education. May God bless you for your generosity.
