We are here to preserve and promote the memory of Marie Dressler and other remarkable women in the film industry and to celebrate our love of vintage films with our community.
We do this in many ways. Firstly, our annual Vintage Film Festival, now in its 33rd year presents films from the earliest days of filmmaking through to the 1970s and includes silent films with live piano accompaniment.
We own and operate the Canadian Women In Film Museum celebrating the roles of Canadian women in the film industry, past and present. The museum features permanent exhibitions for trailblazers Marie Dressler, Mary Pickford, and Norma Shearer. The museum is located in the heritage natal home of Marie Dressler in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. We continue our fundraising to operate the museum for the benefit of our community.
We support the aspirations of graduating secondary school students in Northumberland County through our educational financial assistance programs.
