OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Meals on Wheels, Port Colborne, Inc. is a voluntary, non-profit organization, dedicated to providing a nutrition program with therapeutic, preventative, and social components.
Caring volunteers offer meal services, at a reasonable cost, to people in the community who are unable to attend to their own nutritional needs.
Recipients include convalescents, elderly, disabled, or homebound persons. They are assured of confidentiality.
Aside from the nutritional benefits, the service provides a social contact for persons living alone and a safety check on their well- being. It enables the client to live independently for as long as possible to avoid premature institutionalization.
