Educating and equipping students to be transformed through Jesus Christ so they can impact this world for His glory.
At Medicine Hat Christian School, we believe the instruction and education of children should be in accordance with the truth of God's word and an extension of the teachings at home and church. We strive to help children love God, and to love His Word, the Bible. Mathew 5:14-16 (NASB) "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
Our Mission: Medicine Hat Christian School inspires spiritual, academic and personal growth through Christ-centered learning. Our Vision: To raise up Christ-like leaders who use their gifts and abilities to impact their community. Our Deep Hope: that all students will shine brightly and that they will show God’s love for others in how they speak and act towards all people in our community.
As a school we are committed to teaching children to discern and look for truth in a constantly changing world, helping them in making wise choices today and going forward. As an alternative program under the local School District #76 we receive funding from the public school board for staff salaries, classroom instructional materials, day-to-day operational costs and minor maintenance costs of the facility. However, all expenses that relate to integrating the Christian aspect into education (curriculum materials, Christian professional development, etc) are the responsibility of the Society. Since the Society continues to own it's own building, expenses relating to major upkeep and improvement, including expansion of the building, are the sole responsibility of the Society.
