Our Mission:
Mennonite Nursing Homes Inc. is dedicated to providing the best of emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual care for its residents within a secure, stimulating Christian atmosphere.
Our Charity:
Mennonite Nursing Homes Inc. is owned by the Mennonite Church of Saskatchewan. Over time, its ministry has evolved to encompass the Mennonite Nursing Home, Pineview Manor and now a proposed personal care home at Rosthern, Saskatchewan. These homes enable older adults to move within familiar surroundings as their housing and care needs change, ensuring affordability for its residents.
Faith and its caring nature, as described in the following quote, ensures residents have access to all three types of seniors housing on the grounds: A burning desire to serve God by serving others is the cornerstone upon which the Mennonite Nursing Home is built. . . As a Christian home, we seek to serve the residents in the spirit of Christ, and to treat them with dignity, respect, and understanding.
At present Mennonite Nursing Homes Inc. is in a capital campaign to build a new personal care home that will bridge the gap of care needs between assisted living and the nursing home. The new personal care home, which will be licensed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health and operated privately, will provide additional support including 24-hour caregivers. This home will welcome people moving from Pineview Manor, Prairie Meadow Place (Rosthern’s other assisted living residence), or people who are still struggling living on their own in Rosthern and surrounding communities.
Seniors and their loved ones seek comfortable housing that fosters active, interesting lives involving respect, privacy and socialization. Plans for the new personal care home combines all of these elements in a hospitable, comfortable 2017-style home - like atmosphere, rather than an institutional environment.
