Mental Health Research Canada believes that mental health is the third pillar of this Covid19 Emergency. We know that all Canadians are suffering - anxiety, grief, depression are taking their toll. We know that people with existing conditions are struggling without the ability to access much needed in-person services.
To address this challenge, we believe that policy-makers, program delivery, and governments should base decision making in good information. To that end, we are polling Canadians over the next 5 months to understand the depth of the issue, to understand who is most affected, and understand the underlying activities and issues that are correlating with increased mental health challenges. Good solutions start with good data, and we are approaching this issue in a collaborative fashion, openly sharing information with our many partners and stakeholders.
