Merchants Corner is a gathering place for education, housing and intergenerational connection. We are home to 30 affordable housing units and shared classroom space and community-use facilities.

Goals for 2025: Funding for Tenant Services, and Educational and Social Programming

Tenant Services: Our goal is to offer a range of tenant services to support successful tenancy, including tenant education and orientation, and case management. Current funding provides 7 hours a month of support, but industry standards suggest about 48 hours a month of tenant support is needed for a building of our size. Donor support will be used to increase tenant knowledge about resources in the community and build a tenant residents' committee. Donor support is also needed to help us advocate for permanent and ongoing tenant support services.

Educational and Social Programs: People are looking for education and social activities that connect them to other people and organizations. We are that meeting place, offering free social and educational workshops throughout the year

Donations support programming designed by us and also allow us to offer free classroom rentals to community organizations offering workshops to the community. Thanks to donor support, we are also growing the number of volunteers we engage to help put on programs.
