Merrymount exists to help children and families as they navigate through and beyond crisis, to build stronger, healthier families.

Merrymount’s safe, supportive and strength-based intervention and care builds stronger families and children that have the support they need to grow up strong, form healthy relationships, and know they are valued and loved.

Merrymount has been providing these programs and services to London’s families and children since 1874.

Children’s Mental Health Ontario reports as many as 1 in 5 children and youth in Ontario will experience some form of mental health problem and 70% of mental health problems have their onset during childhood or adolescence.

One night of overnight support costs $274 for each child staying in our Child Mental Wellness Program. More than just a bed, through CMWP children receive nutritious meals and snacks, a secure place to sleep, care from experienced trauma-informed staff and a supportive environment with developmentally appropriate programming. While in Merrymount’s CMWP, children develop social skills, learn emotional coping skills, and, most importantly, are encouraged to let go of the weight of the world and just be kids.
