In an exciting, diverse and ever-shrinking world, face-to-face communication is becoming a lost art. We are forgetting how to be neighbours, how to live in community and how to relate to and take care of each other.

Here in our own neighbourhood, the Church by the Lake, we want to live out intentional community. We need to be community to each other if we’re going to demonstrate community to others. We have to learn to know each other better. We need to become part of each other’s lives.

We want to reach out beyond ourselves and meet people where they are. In our church and in our neighbourhoods, we want to be deliberate about making meaningful connections with others in ways that point back to God.

Only together can we experience God’s design for abundant life.
