Migrant Workers Centre

about

Migrant Workers Centre (MWC) is a Vancouver-based charity dedicated to advancing access to justice for migrant workers in British Columbia and across Canada. Founded in 1986 as the West Coast Domestic Workers’ Association, MWC has grown into a trusted community hub providing migrant workers with free legal services, counselling, system navigation, popular education, and policy advocacy. We work toward a society in which all workers have access to fair employment, secure status, and equitable treatment.

MWC’s staff lawyers and legal advocates work in solidarity with migrant workers facing workplace abuse, immigration barriers, harassment and discrimination, unsafe working conditions, and other employment and immigration law challenges. We conduct outreach in remote and underserved communities and provide free counselling and system navigation supports to address workers’ legal, social, and emotional needs. Through workshops, public legal education, and policy reform initiatives, MWC equips workers with the knowledge and tools to understand and defend their rights.

Your donation helps sustain legal and support services, community education, and advocacy that protect the rights and dignity of migrant workers who contribute to British Columbia’s economy and communities.
