Miriam Centre is now safely open at our new location and taking appointments.

Miriam Centre has been open in Orléans since July 1, 1988 and offers assistance to mothers in need and their families.

Located on St. Joseph Blvd, it is a bilingual, non-profit charitable organization that has grown from a desire shared by a group of concerned people from within the community to reach out to all who find the circumstances surrounding their pregnancy difficult.

Open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Open Friday from 9:00 to noon

Trained staff and volunteers share the will and ability to offer pregnant mothers new hope and practical help.

The primary goal of Miriam Centre is to minister love and compassion to all mothers and to those involved in their pregnancies.

These mothers, single or married, regardless of their age or situation, can come to the Centre before and after the birth of their child.

The Centre also reaches out with love and compassion to those suffering from the loss of a child through abortion, miscarriage or infant death. We listen to them with respect and help them find peace and healing.

Miriam Centre offers assistance to mothers who have already given birth and are having difficulty adjusting to their new lives. Thus they become more confident of their future and that of their child.

The Centre provides a free pregnancy test and makes available its resources to the families. It helps provide for material needs such as maternity wear and baby clothes.

We provide information on adoption, schooling, financial help and lodging. Our services are free and confidential.
