With basic shelters that are simply unable to sustain strong winds, Haiti remains vulnerable to the numerous Caribbean storms, particularly in the poorer, remote areas. Hurricane IRMA is no exception, but this very day (September 6, 2017) even prior to the hurricane arrival, Mission of TEARS has already sent a shipping container of medical supplies and will continue to fund support efforts, working directly with our partners on the ground.
