MAKE A DIFFERENCE – YOU CHOOSE HOW

VAM Creative Kids' FUNd

It's a magical thing to watch a child have a positive art-making experience. Happy memories of carefree art adventures will stay with them for a lifetime. The VAM Creative Kids' FUNd was established in 2009 through the generous support of Leslie Penny Mosher's family and friends and to date 57 children between the ages of 6 – 13 have benefited. Children of families in financial need are referred to VAM through the Peel District School Board and Peel Children's Aid Society. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the camp experience. A week of full-day camp for a child costs only $220. Our annual goal is $2200, enough to provide 10 children with this life-changing opportunity. Please help us reach it!

ARTREACH for OLDER ADULTS

In 2015 VAM launched ArtReach for Older Adults to bring inspiration and creativity to older adults in financial need. The economic reality for many seniors makes specialized art experiences out of their reach. Seniors in financial need are isolated from social experiences. By supporting ArtReach for Older Adults, you can help us deliver ArtReach workshops to older adults living in your community. A 2 hours ArtReach workshop for 12 seniors costs only $180. Our annual goal is $1800, enough to provide 120 older adults with this social and creative opportunity. Please give generously!

VAM MEMBERSHIP & GENERAL FUND

Visual Arts Mississauga has supported the arts and artists in our community building on three pillars of excellence: arts education, arts exhibition and community engagement. VAM is a not-for-profit charitable organization and we are grateful for the support of members and donors like you! VAM Membership is still only $35 (+hst) and any donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt. By taking out a VAM Membership (see our Membership brochure) or making a donation to VAM’s General Fund, you are ensuring that visual arts stays alive and well for years to come.
