Our Mission
Our mission is to partner with people and organizations that support individuals for a hopeful future in Lesotho, Africa.
Mohale (Moe-hall-ee) means HERO in Sesotho, the language of Lesotho. And in a nation that is overwhelmingly devastated by poverty and HIV/AIDS, we believe it takes a hero to forge change and create hope.
Inspired by two of these heroes, we are starting our mission at Beautiful Gate Children's Care Centre in Lesotho.
About Swazi Kids
An oasis of hope in the centre of the African HIV/AIDS pandemic, Beautiful Gate cares for Lesotho’s most vulnerable children.
The stories about how these children come to Beautiful Gate are shocking and gut wrenching to hear. Only shear desperation could result in such atrocities. But Beautiful Gate is a safe place, where babies and toddlers are cared for and loved so they can survive until a day they find their way home with a family, or so that they can die with dignity.
Monthly donations provide consistent and regular cash flow that help Beautiful Gate care-givers plan for the core needs of the children. This includes supplies for children's houses, medical supplies for acute and chronic care and house-mother, nurse and maintenance crew salaries.
