Mondetta Charity Foundation (MCF), a separate entity from the Mondetta Clothing Company, was established in 2004. The Kamwokya Primary School in Kampala, Uganda, is a beneficiary of MCF; which supports and maintains the food program; providing lunch to almost 2000 children per day and has served over three million meals to date.
MCF has additionally funded the construction of a new library and kitchen, erected a playground structure, provided uniforms and shoes to all the children at this school and financed the construction of nine additional classrooms to accommodate the ever-growing student body. The erection of a water harvesting/filtration system that will allow the students access to safe, clean, potable water is near completion.
MCF's second beneficiary is The New Life Home Trust-Madogo Day Centre in Kenya. The Centre, located in the arid north-eastern area of the country, provides care to about 70 newborns and children who are orphans, or from broken families, many of whom are affected by HIV/Aids. At the Centre they receive nutrition, education and care which they need badly.
