Our Mission

Confront the reality of violence in our midst with a variety of public education forums focusing on assault prevention.

Our objectives 

- To develop ways to reduce aggression and to respond safely in assault situations;

- To develop community awareness of assault issues, and a sensitivity to survivors of assault;

- To provide services that will enhance the community's belief in self-protection and aggression-reduction skills;

- To ensure that all groups vulnerable to assault have access to the development of safety skills that will enhance the quality of their life;

- To mobilize community commitment to assault prevention education; and

About us

Since 1984, the Montreal Assault Prevention Centre, a non-profit organization and a registered charity, has been offering an array of workshops on assault prevention to groups particularly vulnerable to assault: children, adolescents, women of all ages and people living with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. All our programs focus on developing skills and resources to help people face difficult and dangerous situations.
