Purpose: to promote health and wellness by providing accommodation for out of town patients of Calgary hospitals and treatment facilities while patients are undergoing medical care, diagnosis, procedures or treatments.

Activity: Patients and, if applicable, their immediate family members or caregiver, are provided accommodation on a without cost basis in one of the condominium units owned by the Foundation for this purpose.The Foundation will own residential condominium units in the City of Calgary which will be used exclusively for the purpose stated above. Any patient normally residing outside of Calgary requiring the provisions of medical services in Calgary as described above is eligible to benefit from the Foundation's accommodations. Patients will be referred to the Foundation by health care workers like hospital social workers and other healthcare professionals. When the demand for accommodation exceeds the supply, the Foundations officials will seek to provide accommodation to those patients (and their families and caregivers) with the greatest need, based on the advice of the referring health care provides if possible.
