Mount Sinai Hospital is home to the largest birthing centre in Canada, helping 7,000 families realize their dreams of becoming parents each year. The Frances Bloomberg Centre for Women’s and Infants’ Health has the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the country. More than two-thirds of all pregnancies are high-risk and more than 1,000 of the most fragile babies in Ontario are cared for at Mount Sinai each year.

Sinai Health is also home to one of only four fetal surgery programs in North America, and Canada’s only fetal therapy centre. Our doctors can now treat spina bifida on babies in utero — transforming their lives before they are even born. Our goal is to be top five in the world in women’s and infants’ care, revolutionizing conception and pregnancy to enable healthier lives for future generations.

Sinai Health is also home to the Rogers Hixon Ontario Human Milk Bank, the only milk bank in Ontario that collects, processes and dispenses donated breast milk to premature babies across the province.
