On December 16, 2016, one week before Christmas, the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada closed the MS centre located at North Park in Victoria, British Columbia. The centre had provided physiotherapy, a fitness centre, advocacy and other services to people on Vancouver Island living with MS for over 40 years.

Many of us who live with the disease used the centre and disagreed with its closure. We see an MS centre as a vital part of how we remain healthy and manage our disease. The MS Wellness Centre is version 2.0 of what was once very effective in helping us survive and thrive with Multiple Sclerosis.

We strive to:

1. to provide quality of life services for people with MS until they no longer needthem

2. to support people with MS in making their own decisions about issues that impact their lives and encourage others to support them as theymake their own choices and set their own goals and

3. to promote active participation of people with MS in their larger community.
