The Shaama Centre for Seniors and Women is a not-for-profit organization. The mandate of the organization is to provide programs and services to immigrant seniors, women and their families (and all who need services) to integrate into Canadian society.

We offer a comfortable, welcoming space where diverse cultures and languages are embraced.The program and services provided by the Shaama Centre are educational, social and recreational. We offer health and wellness programs, language and skill- building classes, outreach services, assistance with navigating systems, community support and connections. We provide workshops and information on issues that affects them e.g. housing, transportation, pension, benefits, resources available, so they can access these resources and make an informed choice. We also provide counselling and a range of services for people coping with grief, dealing with domestic violence and other life challenges.

We need your support:

• To ensure the continuity of such services;
• Without your support it would indeed be an uphill struggle;
• To replace 10 old computers used for teaching computer skills to students
• To enable us to develop new programs and approaches that will address the existing client needs and the emerging needs created by the pandemic.
