MusiCounts ensures that children and youth across Canada have access to music education

MusiCounts

about

MusiCounts is Canada's music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and The JUNO Awards. At MusiCounts, we make music education inclusive, sustainable, and accessible for youth across Canada by providing musical instruments, equipment, and resources.

MusiCounts seeks to break down these barriers through four pillars of action. MusiCounts:

INVESTS

In music education and the foundation of the music industry through the MusiCounts Band Aid Program and the MusiCounts TD Community Music Program, which grant funds to schools and community groups to build or sustain music programs for youth in need.

EDUCATES

Through MusiCounts Learn, a program that creates innovative learning resources for teachers and students, and facilitates important national dialogue about music education.

EMPOWERS

The next generation of music industry performers and professionals through the Accelerate and Amplify scholarship programs and mentorship experiences.

CELEBRATES

Excellence by recognizing exceptional teachers and philanthropic leaders through the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year and MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Awards (presented by the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation).

Your donation will go towards our signature program, the MusiCounts Band Aid Program. The MusiCounts Band Aid Program  provides up to $15,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment to school music programs to ensure their continued success and sustained growth.

In 2020, the MusiCounts Band Aid Program awarded $1M to 95 schools in every province and territory for instruments, equipment, and resources.
