For as little as $3.85 per month or $46.20 a year you can offer a child and their family the Joy of Reading.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a community book-gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children. Registered children, aged 0 to 5 years of age, are mailed a high quality, age-appropriate book monthly. These books foster family reading time, a love of books and help boost early literacy.

As a Local Affiliate for Muskoka, Muskoka Family Focus and Children's Place is responsible for raising funds to ensure that the program is free for all families living in the District of Muskoka. We rely on donations from individual donors, local businesses and service clubs. 

The books are selected by an advisory panel of experts from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. The books are fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate. Many are classics, beloved by parents and children alike and include Canadian favourites. Reading books to very young children is one of the best head starts you can give them. It exposes children to new words and language and shows them that their parents value reading. That’s why we want every child in our community to have access to lots of great books.
