MySchoolROCKS is a Canadian charity with NGO status supporting YOUTH wellness through experiential MUSIC programs. We inspire youth to embrace well-being and inclusivity through the power of MUSIC!

MySchoolROCKS has developed a youth focused curriculum designed to assists educators in the delivery of arts based wellness programming.  

MySchoolROCKS envisions transformational change at the elementary school level by mentoring students to help them manage negative situations in healthy ways.  When they visit our fully equipped studios, they are immersed in an artistic environment that includes our Music Carousel, mindfulness exercises and wellness ROCKShops.

This hands-on learning is specifically designed to model “key” interpersonal skills that emphasize self-care, empathy, inclusivity and team-building.  We coach participants to take responsible risks in our collaborative environment by tapping into right brain creativity while developing tools for emotional intelligence.

                             MySchoolROCKS  OBJECTIVES:

• Assisting youth to gain a better understanding of social/emotional learning and conflict resolution skills; leading to more positive and meaningful engagement in their school community

• Helping students explore core elements of musicianship, composition and performance while developing connections with classmates in creative and healthy ways

• Reduced stigmatization of mental health challenges by allowing young people a safe place to learn about themselves in experiential, artistic and entertaining ways
