Our Mission
Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation funds the construction of schools for children in rural villages in Myanmar. Myanmar is one of the poorest nations in Southeast Asia and suffers from a shortage of modern education and skills. Increased literacy benefits Burmese children now and will enhance the quality of their lives in the future.
About Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation
Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation (MBSPF) is committed to building schools and providing educational opportunities for the impoverished children of Myanmar. Our projects assist the children of Myanmar in finding a way out of poverty and help us practice generosity, compassion and gratitude.
Representatives of MBSPF travel to Myanmar each year to visit completed projects and determine suitable locations for the upcoming projects for the current year. We offer our assistance with the support of the villagers, the local Buddhist monks and nuns and the Myanmar government’s education department.
From 2012-2018, MBSPF built 42 schools and 11 teachers' cottages, providing schools for 4,700 children. Since 2017, we have also built 2 rural health clinics. In 2019, we are building 7 schools and 1 rural health clinic.
