Myriad Canada is working with the Open University of Israel (OUI) on this project, an institution of higher education founded in 1974 aspiring to the highest standard of teaching and research while upholding the principles of academic freedom, freedom of opinion and freedom of conscience.
With 53,000 students and 50 physical campuses nationwide, OUI reaches students from diverse socio-economic and geographic backgrounds, fostering inclusion for those from peripheral areas. Students at OUI are from different cultural and religious backgrounds. 60% of them are first-generation higher education students, and every year OUI brings together the largest number of Haredi, Arab-Israeli, Ethiopian, Bedouin, and Druze students.
OUI stands as a leader in democratizing education, as it offers high-quality, hybrid learning combining advanced digital and in-person instruction, allowing students to balance work and study. OUI uses advanced analytics that enable tailored made learning programs, applies innovative teaching methods, and offers students close guidance and support alongside independent study.
