Institut Curie
A leading player in the fight against cancer, Institut Curie combines an internationally recognized research center with a state-of-the-art hospital group that provides care for all types of cancer, including the rarest forms. Every day, more than 3,800 doctors, caregivers, and researchers work together to defeat cancer. Its work is built on three interrelated pillars:
- Research. The Research Center brings together leading scientists in 87 multidisciplinary teams and provides them with 19 cutting-edge technological platforms.
- Care. The Institut Curie Hospital Group treats a wide variety of cancers. Thanks to its 2,400 staff members, the Institut has already cared for 53,000 patients.
- Preservation and transfer of knowledge. Each year, around 500 PhD students, residents, Master’s students, and trainee nurses come from all five continents to take courses at Institut Curie.
