Napi Friendship Association

about

The Napi Friendship Association was incorporated in September of 1976.

As a member of the Friendship Centre movement, Napi has offered diverse and multi-faceted programming for close to 50 years. Servicing the Town and MD of Pincher Creek, Crowsnest Pass and the Piikani Nation.

Our doors and programs are open to everyone.

Our programs are adapted and catered to work with as many individuals as we can within our funding objectives.

Our Vision - A multi-generational, culturally connected and inclusive community.

Our Mission - A safe gathering place where people can learn, share, heal, connect, grow and develop.

We offer a wide variety of cultural programming; Blackfoot language classes, beading, sewing, moccasin making, powwow dance classes, along with programs geared to youth, elders, and tutoring program throughout the school year. Napi also offers gently used clothing and a food supplement program for those who need it and a back-to-school program that provides new shoes, a backpack and school supplies for those from kindergarten thru post-secondary. Various early childhood and Family programs are hosted through Brighter Futures, and we host a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Registered Clinical Counsellor weekly at no charge.

The Napi Friendship Centre along with all Friendship Centres throughout Alberta are safe places for everyone. The Human rights of all people, including members of the LGBTQQIP2SA+ community are respected, welcomed and supported.
