Winter Food Security & Essential Needs

Toronto has a cost of living crisis, and Indigenous communities are disproportionately impacted - especially in the winter. In-need community members require extra support for winter essential items, like groceries, thermal clothing, hygiene items, and more.

This holiday season, let's work together to assist Indigenous children, youth and families who urgently need winter essentials, like nourishing food and warm clothing.

Donate today to support Indigenous food security and provide urgent essential items this winter.

Together we stand for a life of quality, wellbeing and healing for Indigenous communities in Toronto and the GTA.

Your Impact

Toronto is home to a diverse, vibrant and growing urban Indigenous community, with an estimated population of 60,000 adults and children.

Despite the unique and complex systemic barriers faced by Indigenous communities, less than 3.3% of overall online donations have been made to charities supporting Indigenous Peoples (CanadaHelps, 2022).

With your help, we can continue to create safe cultural spaces for Toronto’s Indigenous communities.

Native Child and Family Services of Toronto

NCFST is Toronto’s largest, multi-service urban Indigenous agency providing holistic, culture-based programs and services for Indigenous children and families. NCFST strives to provide a life of quality, wellbeing, healing, and self-determination for children and families in the Toronto urban Indigenous community. We do this by implementing a service model that is culture-based and respects the values of Indigenous people, the extended family, and the right to self-determination.
