The Society has been in operation since 1982. In that time, the NCS has expanded its operations to include radio and television broadcasting, delivering Aboriginal language services to 33 different communities and three diamond mines, as well as into Alberta and Nunavut. Currently, NCS has 22 employees and an active Board of Directors. NCS has over come challenges in the past and is governed with fiscal responsibility.
We provide radio programming in Denesuline, Gwich’in, Tlicho, Dehcho and Sahtu dialects and are preserving Elder folklore but recording them on Video.
