Between 1975 and 2019, we lost about 3.3 million hectares of Canadian forests. Globally, our planet is losing forests almost the size of Nova Scotia every year. Wildlife is being threatened and we must protect our current forests and plant more trees to help save wild spaces in Canada. In contributing to this campaign your support will go directly to helping address climate change and stopping the loss of forest and wildlife by:    

• Insisting that the federal government pick up the pace to plant 2 billion trees in the right places, for the right reasons; 

• Partnering with Indigenous communities to support reforestation plans and Indigenous-led forest management efforts;

• Providing support for community actions, such as helping nature groups do crucial restoration work in your communities, like planting trees or removing invasive species;

• Protecting wilderness and wildlife by advocating for new and expanded protected areas and restoration of threatened ecosystems;
