To date we have provided over 125,000 lbs of fresh food, 25,000 lbs of non-perishables through our food programs. We’ve served 150 families each month and made over 500 home visits! When we told one food bank patron that the surrounding neighbourhood had provided the food and resources being distributed, she was deeply moved to know that her neighbours cared about her and her family.

$75 provides 1-2 weeks of groceries for a family which includes fresh produce, poultry, dairy products, non-perishables and other essentials. 

Last winter, we were approached by North York Harvest Food Bank, one of the largest food banks in the region, with a significant request. They informed us that one of their food bank locations will shut down at the end of November. Recognizing our deep community connections and holistic approach to service, they asked us to take over their food distribution operations and help them find a location. 

 This request is a testament to our reputation and the trust we’ve built within the community. However, we face a daunting challenge without financial support from North York Harvest Food Bank. Still we opened the second food bank and have been serving an additional 100 households in 2025 - thanks to support from neighbours like you. We hope to keep this food bank going in 2026
