The NEIL MURKAR CHARITABLE FOUNDATION is a fully registered charity under registration number 889597167RR0001 operated by The Rotary Club of Whitby. The name of the charity was dedicated to the late Dr. Neil Murkar who was an Optometrist in Whitby and a long time dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Whitby. 

The charity's main focuses are protecting the welfare and safety of children and the elderly, relieving suffering or disability caused by old age, preventing and relieving sickness and disability, preserving the environment, providing immediate relief to victims of natural disasters, provide bursaries to students and to provide financial assistance to charitable organizations within Canada and Internationally that are also recognized as qualified donees under the Income Tax Act (Canada).
