Our venue has been a key community gathering place for more than 80 years. We have a vision to build on this history of local use by thoughtfully improving our historic auditorium to meet the needs of the present and the future.

Our capital project development is around the corner, finally expected to break ground in 2024.  We will still need to work toward fundraising goals to complete that project, but first, we need to get there.

After Covid-19 and the government-mandated closures that were part of the pandemic experience, we anticipated this would be a challenging time for us, as audiences began to return to cinemas. However, what we didn't expect was (as cited by NICE):

• A massive increase in the cost of living and the cost of doing business
• The reduction in the number of films available to bring to our screen
• More restrictions on how long we need to show a film to get it at all, and a much greater fee to studios (now often more than 60% of every ticket!)
• A multi-month facility closure in advance of our renovations, reducing our earned income by more than 80%.
