Newark Neighbours Food Bank & Thrift Store
Our Mission: Serving our community with compassion, care and concern.
Newark Neighbours is the only food bank and thrift store serving Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario and has been in operation since 1971.
We are a registered not-for-profit with an elected Board of Directors and entirely volunteer staff.
We do not receive financial support from any level of government and our continued operations rely solely on donations received plus sales from our thrift store.
The profits from our operations allow us to provide food bank clients with a selection of groceries every 2 weeks plus special holiday meals. We also provide limited food supply support to other local food banks (if possible), manage a bursary program for local students and provide support to Red Roof Retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Food bank recipients must be residents of NOTL but anyone can shop at the Thrift Store. Come visit!
