Established in 1988, NexusBC Community Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization that helps people live their best lives.

A Place For Everyone

The word "nexus" in our name means "connect" and that we is what do. As a Community Resource Centre, we connect people to resources and support so that everyone can live their best life. 

Seniors: With the help of volunteers, we distribute good food boxes and coupons for fresh fruit and veggies to low-income seniors, give seniors rides to doctor's appointments or for grocery shopping, complete free basic income tax returns and pension applications, distribute Christmas hampers, find affordable housing, provide information on transportation, house cleaning and other home support services. 

Vulnerable Adults: We provide information and direction to anyone having life issues such as an upcoming eviction, homelessness, housing, loss of income, health, dental, dentures, abuse, addiction and more. 

Job Seekers:  We assist job seekers in finding meaningful work through our employment training programs, one-to-one job coaching and vision board workshops.

Food Security: We manage two community garden in Vernon, and have several side programs assisting seniors with food supplements.

Newcomers To Canada: We help newcomers overcome challenges such as credential recognition and finding purposeful work in Canada.
