HOME IS WHERE THE ART IS. The Nicola Valley Community Arts Council, not-for-profit society, building community through the arts since 1982.
The Nicola Valley Community Arts Council has been connecting community through the arts since 1982 in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District in British Columbia. We encourage and support arts and cultural activities in the Nicola Valley. Each year, our Arts Centre and Gallery presents monthly shows and related activities for local artists, adults, and children. As well, we host activities at local festivals and support performances by local musicians and our musical member groups. We sponsor Open Mic Nights so local musicians can perform before live audiences. We support other community groups by hosting joint events.
Our programs are supported annually through grants from the City of Merritt, BC Arts Council and TNRD. Our programs are also supported by regional and provincial grants, by memberships and by public donations.
We are truly believe that "home is where the art is".
