Nishnawbe Homes is a non-profit Indigenous housing provider committed to creating safe, affordable homes for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people across the Greater Toronto Area.

Our tenants are members of communities disproportionately affected by the housing crisis. For many, the lack of affordable housing has meant living without stable housing or facing the constant risk of becoming houseless. Nishnawbe Homes works to provide more than a place to live—we provide a foundation from which people can build safer, healthier, and more stable lives.

We are proud to provide housing to a diverse community that includes students, Elders, youth, women, men, parents, working people, and 2-Spirit community members. We recognize that every person brings a unique life journey, and we strive to create housing communities grounded in dignity, kindness, respect, and cultural understanding.

Our vision is to ensure that Indigenous people in the GTA have access to housing where they feel safe, respected, and supported. Stable housing can be the first step toward achieving personal, educational, employment, family, and wellness goals.
