The NLCU Charitable Foundation Corporation (the “Foundation”) was established as a registered charity in 2002 by Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union (NLCU). The Foundation is 100% volunteer led and run, and NLCU employees are its driving force, raising funds on behalf of the Foundation for distribution to other charities.
The Foundation’s vision is to be a visible leader in support of registered charities primarily in Newfoundland and Labrador that work to improve social programs and services in the areas of youth, education, health, arts, culture, and the environment.
Since its inception, the Foundation has donated approximately $1 million to more than 200 charities.
