Invitation to Support the Maamwi Kindaaswin Pow Wow 2024
Since 1974, the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (NBIFC) has fostered understanding and unity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. Our Maamwi Kindaaswin Pow Wow exemplifies this mission, drawing thousands of guests each year.
We are excited to announce that this year’s Pow Wow will be held at Lee Park on Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th, 2024. Last year, we welcomed over 5,000 attendees, and we anticipate an even larger turnout as we celebrate "50 Years of Friendship." We are working hard to ensure this remains a free event, and your support ensures that all families can participate in this critical Indigenous cultural event that serves as a place of learning and celebration.
Event Highlights:
- Family-Friendly and Free Admission: Open to all community members.
- Cultural Activities: Indigenous vendors, dancing, traditional drumming, and a sunrise ceremony each morning.
- Community Feast: On Saturday.
- Giveaway Ceremony: On Sunday.
- Shuttle Service: Free transportation between Northgate Square and Lee Park from 10 am to 6 pm both days.
We would like to invite you to support this landmark event. Contributions of $2000.00 or more will receive unique promotional opportunities:

- Highway Fence Signage: Featuring our special partners’ logos.
