Doctor Health Clinics in Blue Mountains and Meaford regions
Our Mission
NEGHC is a non-profit corporation formed by community volunteers to provide access to health care, build and equip two community medical centres, and recruit new family physicians for the Meaford and Town of Blue Mountains municipalities to meet the health needs of current and future residents.
We opened the first clinic, the Blue Mountains Community Health Centre in Thornbury in September 2011.
We opened the second clinic, the Don Bumstead & Family medical center, in Meaford in August 2014.
There are no grant monies available from the Province of Ontario to fund the building of these clinics, so the entire cost must come from businesses and residents of the community. As of January 2016, we have raised over 80% of the required capital funds and now require about $100,000 to pay down our capital building loans.
