We shelter and support women and children (+ pets) surviving violence on the North Shore.
NSCSS provides emergency shelter, longer-term housing solutions, and wrap-around support services to women and their children (and their pets!) escaping violence on the North Shore - since 1979. Our services aim to address the multi-faceted impact of abuse and to help our clients end the violence in their lives.
Our charity also operates SAGE House, an 18-bed women's shelter that houses women, children, and their pets for 30 days. For longer-term safe housing, we provide accommodations for up to 18 months through three 2nd Stage Housing programs and 6 family units for families escaping violence.
