Hollyburn Country Club Women's Business League is hosting a Holiday Social on December 6th! This year, we are continuing our support for North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS), a wonderful local charity, and helping bring some holiday cheer to vulnerable North Shore families.

We will be collecting donations of clothing, gifts, gift cards, and money. Clothing, gifts, and gift cards can be brought to the party, and cash donations can be made through this page. Financial donations made here will receive a tax receipt issued directly to the donor by Canada Helps. For other types of donations, please contact Sandra Lee at North Shore Crisis Services Society.

North Shore Crisis Services Society has been helping women and children escape family violence for 45 years. They provide emergency housing, wrap-around support services, as well as a 24-hour crisis phone line.  

All NSCSS services are provided at no cost, thanks to the ongoing, generous support from the community and donors like you.  Your support helps NSCSS to provide women and children in our community a safe haven from violence and abuse, and in addition, they are able to offer all of their valuable programs. Donations will help change the lives of families and make annual holiday festivities happen - providing gifts, sanctuary, and services that their clients would otherwise never have. 

Monetary donations let NSCSS operate programs and services all year long.

Services such as: 

• SAGE Transition House (women's shelter)
• Longer-term subsidized housing for mother-led families (2nd-Stage Housing)
• Free trauma counseling for youth
• Immigration & refugee outreach support
• Homeless Prevention Program
• Clothing Program

As well as:

• Birthday and holiday celebrations at our shelters
• Holiday Hampers with everyday essentials (toiletries, fresh clothes, blankets, towels, gifts for mom and the little ones, etc)
• Resources to help families celebrate the holidays in their own cherished way
• Emergency funds for finding child care, grocery bills, medical bills, or changing their locks

and more.
