Vehicle Replacement

With such a large and remote area of coverage, we rely heavily on our vehicles and equipment to respond wherever and whenever we are requested. North Shore Search and Rescue needs to replace one of our aging vehicles. This vehicle allows us to transport team members and equipment to calls for service . It is also a quick response vehicle for time sensitive emergencies like ice rescue during winter and spring. Funds raised will be solely used to replace this vehicle.

The strength of our team relies completely on the commitment of its volunteers and is dependent upon the generous assistance from businesses, organizations and citizens to support our fundraising efforts. No volunteer search and rescue teams in the province of Ontario receive any regular funding from any level of government, be it municipal, provincial or federal. Search and rescue in Canada is a free service.
