Registered Name: NORTH SIMCOE VICTIM CRISIS SERVICES
Business No: 869764829RR0001
This organization is designated by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a registered charity. They comply with the CRA's requirements and has been issued a charitable registration number.
Starting June 2024, we are appealing to the community to designate a small amount each month to become a "SAVE - Support Advocate for Victim Empowerment" donor. These ongoing supporters will help us to not only continue to serve the victims of tragic circumstances in our North Simcoe region but will also help us to elevate what we as an organization can do in the future.
FOR MORE INFORMATION: Lynn Thomas, Development Director - lynn@ns-vs.com
Sign up today to become a "SAVE" DONOR for any amount that fits your monthly budget e.g. $10/$25/$50/$100.... ANY amount will help us to assist people in their hour of need with supplies, emergency accommodation, counselling services, and the staffing to keep up with the volume of calls we are dealing with daily. Since 2020 our victim crisis calls have increased approximately 127% with the highest number of our calls being intimate partner violence.
We need your help to reach our goal of monthly supporters by June 2025:
50 - $10/month supporters = $6,000
50 - $25/month supporters = $15,000
20 - $100/month supporters - $24,000
North Simcoe Victim Services (NSVS) provides assistance for victims of crime, tragic circumstance, or disaster; 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Offering emotional support and practical assistance, NSVS is a community-based charitable organization where specially trained volunteers help with a victim’s immediate needs and provide referrals to existing community services if longer-term care is required.
North Simcoe Victim Services receives a portion of our funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and relies on donations when it comes to supporting our clients.
Your donation would go towards the following:
- Transportation arrangements
- Addressing Safety concerns and safety equipment
- Home and Safety Repairs
- Emergency Accommodation
- Food security support
- Basic necessities
- Crime scene clean up
- And more!
A monetary gift to NSVS means you will be helping victims within your community receive the short and long-term support they need. Thank you for your generous support!
